The Spark
In October 2021, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, a group of friends led by founder Bimasha Chamali started "Hands for Smile" with 30 undergraduate volunteers.
Our First Step
The "Awarna Warna Project" at Sambhodi Home in Galle, Sri Lanka, brought color and care to children with special needs, marking our beginning.
Growth & Rebirth
Today, as The Luminar Foundation, our community has grown to over 1,000 volunteers, completing 9 major projects and supporting over 15 schools island-wide.
